History

Late C17/early C18 town-house altered in early C19

Exterior

3-storey, 2-window coursed rubble front. Tall hipped slate and stone tile roof with swept and boxed moulded eaves; later end brick chimney stack and truncated rendered stack to rear, (overlapping with extension). 12-pane sash windows with voussoir lintels. Deep timber lintel to ground floor below timber band that continues across Grove House to right. Late Georgian shop front with pilasters and 3-light windows flanking central entrance with half-glazed double doors. Panelled stallriser with punched trefoils.

Dormer window to left end. Boxed eaves continues around rear, broken at chimney stack; entrance to Just Hair. Similarly roofed extension adjoins at right rear behind Grove House; mainly 12- pane sash windows.

Interior

The interior retains dog-leg staircase with turned balusters.
