Early C18. Main west front of 3-storeys, four close set windows, the returns
canted outwards. Soft red brick. Stone quoins; and 2nd floor band resting
on keystones of cambered brick arches of 1st floor windows. Similar arches
above, but without keystones. Replaced sashes in wood architraves. Roof rebuilt
and gable end wall above eaves. Late C19 shops on ground floor. The building
continues eastward in a small shop attached to the rear of Nos 1 and 3 Marygate
(qv).
