Old Wye Bridge, Chepstow

Uploader's Comments

This cast iron bridge was designed by John Rastrick and opened in 1816. Next to Chepstow Castle, it links Monmouthshire in Wales with Gloucestershire in England over the Wye, a river with one of the highest tidal ranges in the world at this point (13.4m or 44ft). The bridge was awarded a Grade I conservation listing in 1975.
