House, built as a pair with Ty'r Garw, the former Buck Inn, to right. Marked on 1833 map as owned by A.D. Jones Esq, occupied in 1839 by George Williams. The ground floor had a large later C19 double shopfront, illustrated in photograph as two shops, of - Croft, shoemaker, and Harold Davies, saddler and leather worker. Possibly the same premises as those occupied by Lewis Griffith & Son, saddlers in 1880 and Lewis Griffith, School Lane, in 1858-9. The shopfront has been removed and the ground floor restored to match Ty'r Garw.
House, painted brick with slate roof, flat eaves and red brick ridge stack at left end. Two storeys, three bays with raised outer piers, 12-pane hornless sashes to outer bays of first floor with gauged brick flat heads and stone sills. Centre cambered-headed blank window with no sill. Ground floor has matching C20 inserted windows each side of broad C20 doorway with flat head and keystone. Double panelled doors. Rear of rubble stone with two cambered headed iron triple casements with top lights to each floor and centre door.
Interior not inspected.
Included as a pair with Ty'r Garw, both with good Georgian detail including unusual giant pilasters framing facade.
