History

Built in conjunction with the Claerwen Reservoir, constructed by the City of Birmingham Water Department 1946-52. The consulting engineers were Sir William Halcrow & Partners. The contractor was Edmund Nuttall Sons & Co of London.

Exterior

A single-carriageway reinforced concrete bridge faced with rock-faced stone. It has a single segmental arch. The flat deck has a parapet with concrete intermediate and terminal piers and steel railings.
