Exterior

Rectangular, sandstone upright with rounded top. A cast iron plate also with a rounded head is fixed to the front face. It is painted white and has a rim which is painted black. The plate displays letters in relief and in capitals, which read:

Reasons for Listing

Listed as a milestone characteristic of turnpike roads, and one of several milestones surviving along the A489. It is also similar in style to those on the B4385.
