Exterior

Early C19 boundary walls, high rubble stone with stone coping, dividing gardens of the three 1817-18 officers' houses from each other and from access lane that runs to E of No 3 and then just inside main S wall of dockyard. Broken at SE corner for access to coach-yard of No 3, and with curved sweep into coach-yard of No 2. There is a suggestion that the rear wall may be a part of the first boundary wall of the dockyard, but this seems unlikely.

Reasons for Listing

Group value as an integral part of an important late Georgian formal group at the Dockyard.
