Two mid to late C19 iron bollards, plain square top moulded back to rounded octagonal shaft. Hollow with pierced hole each side. The W bollard inscribed: 'Sturges and Co, Bradford, Yorks, Ironworks'. Similar in type to bollards around Graving Dock.

Cannon barrel is set upright as bollard just N of Old Pier House, and is the last in situ of a set, the others since retrieved and mounted on new carriages, for example at Fort Road Park. The cannons are said to be Dutch in origin.
