History

Late C18 to early C19 two storey cottage row. On Map of 1834.

Exterior

Nos.9 and 10: doorways arranged in a pair. Each with two square windows on first floor and a window in outer bay on ground floor. No.9 has modern small-pane casements; No.10 has sash windows 3 panes wide. No.9 with a modern door, and No.10 with six-panelled door with upper 4 panels glazed.

Reasons for Listing

Part of a sequence of late C18 to mid C19 buildings consisting of Nos.8 to 11 Pendre (consecutive), and Tawelfa together with their garden walls and railings which form a good group on the edge of the historic built-up area of Brecon. Mutual Group Value.
