History

Early to mid C19. Listed in 1976 and described thus "3-storey, 1-bay facade of stone laid in regular courses. Pilaster at right hand end. Slate gabled roof. Sash windows in openings with heads of dressed stone. C19 shop front on ground floor comprising a window of two three-centred headed lights to left hand and a pair of half-glazed panelled doors to right hand, both within casing of pilasters, fascia and cornice."

Exterior

Shop with accommodation above. Three-storey, 1-window front; rendered. Slate gabled roof. Modern window to each floor. Altered C19 shop front on ground floor comprising a window to L, and modern door to R, enclosed by pilasters, fascia and cornice.

Reasons for Listing

Retained on list despite changes to character since original Listing purely for Group Value with adjacent buildings in this important street in the historic centre of Brecon.
