History

A farmhouse formerly of lobby-entrance plan type, possibly C17, but the early doorway against the main chimney now blocked; the two bays to west may represent an original two-unit lobby entrance plan, later lengthened to east and widened at rear to north.

Exterior

A 1½-storey farmhouse of three or four units in local uncoursed stonework, part colour washed. Brick and concrete block lean-to at rear. Some concrete block reconstruction at east gable. Slate roof with tile ridge, stone mid-stack. Altered three-window front with replaced doors and windows in openings with brick arches. Two through-eaves dormer windows with replaced four-light windows. Some weather boarding at one end.

Interior

Interior not seen but said to retain post and panel partitioning.

Reasons for Listing

A post-mediaeval farmhouse of considerable character, notwithstanding enlargements and alterations.
