Statement of Interest

In the traditional 'Domestic Revival' style promoted by James Miller, responsible for a great many railway station designs in Scotland, this station was built by the Glasgow and South Western railway to replace an earlier building due to an increase in holiday traffic to the coastal resort. The station remains well preserved today.
