Description

Early 19th century. 2-storey, 3-bay haa with single storey wings to E and N. Harled walls with margined windows.

S (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: near-symmetrical principal block comprising modern porch at ground in centre bay, window at ground in bay to left offset to left, regular fenestration in bay to right and at 1st floor, lean-to porch to outer right of elevation. 4-bay elevation of wing extending to right with vertically-boarded timber door to left of centre and windows in flanking bays; lean-to to E gable of wing with vertically-boarded timber door in S side.

W GABLE: single window at ground to left.

N (REAR) ELEVATION: 3-bay elevation with gabled wing projecting to left of centre and regular fenestration at 1st floor.

4-pane timber fixed-lights to E wing; modern glazing elsewhere.

WALLS AND OUTBUILDINGS: rubble walled enclosure to W of house, adjoining pair of gabled rubble outbuildings disposed at right angles to each other.

North Haa is one of a fine series of Haas presiding over the voes and firths on this side of North Roe.
