Description

Later 19th century with alterations and addition, John Kinross, circa 1900. 2-storey 3-bay gabled house with later single storey addition projecting to SE. Stugged squared and snecked sandstone, droved ashlar dressings; roughly squared and snecked side elevations and rear. Chamfered arrises.

SW ELEVATION: bay to centre advanced and gabled with boarded door with rectangular plate glass letterbox fanlight; corbelled coped, balustraded parapet above; window at 1st floor above. Window at ground and breaking eaves at 1st floor above, in flanking gabled bays. Addition to outer right set back with window to SW.

SE ELEVATION: 4-bay, grouped 2-1-1. Window at ground of 2-bay group of house to left; window at 1st floor above in bay to right. Timber canopy above door in bay to inner right. 1900 gabled extension to right with window at ground and rectangular carved plaque to gablehead (M interlinked with sheaf of corn).

NE ELEVATION: full-height addition to centre with various single storey outbuildings.

4-pane timber sash and case windows to house; 16-pane timber sash and case window to SW elevation of addition. Slate roof, with ashlar coped stacks. Timber simple bargeboarding with exposed rafters, to house.

INTERIOR: not seen, 1995.
