Milestone. Later C19. Cast-iron. Triangular shaft with
flat-faced semicircular head; painted white, with raised
lettering painted black: "SEDBERGH & HAWES / ROAD / FROSTROW /
& / SOOLBANK" on the head, "SEDBERGH / 1 MILE" on the left
side, and "HAWES / 15 MILES" on the right. One of two in this
parish, continued with a series of six in Garsdale CP (qv).
