Small farmhouse with attached barn; derelict at time of
inspection (1994). Late C17 or early C18; altered.
Roughly-coursed mixed rubble, the facade of the house
white-washed, stone slate roof. North-south axis, facing west,
the house at the south end. Single-depth 1 unit plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 low storeys and 2 windows; lean-to porch in
centre, with doorway offset left and roof of very large stone
slabs, flanked by square windows; similar square window above
porch, and a chamfered 1-light window to the right. All these
windows now lacking joinery. Partially dilapidated roof.
Square gable chimney to right. Irregular and non-flush
vertical joint with barn to left. Remains of lean-to garage
attached to right-hand gable wall. Rear: one window at ground
floor and 2 above, all with lintels which have stubs of former
recessed stone mullions (2 evidently re-used).
INTERIOR: 2 lateral beams with small chamfer, square joists;
internal chimney stack built against plastered wall (i.e
added).
BARN continued to north at same level, a long range, with
wagon doorway near north end (with wooden lintel), small
doorway close to junction with house, and one square unglazed
window at upper level, offset right of centre. North gable has
doorway with wooden lintel and small square window to right.
