House, now gallery and offices. C18 with C20 alterations and
additions. Brick laid to Flemish bond; gabled old tile roof
with brick rear stacks. 2-unit plan to street.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys plus attic; 4-window range. Top dentilled
brick cornice and end pilaster strips. Mid C20 shop front has
2 entrances with enriched glazed doors separated by a
small-paned bow window to centre and one similar half-bow
window right and left; entrance to upper floors to right end;
deep fascia. First floor has narrow timber central panel with
painted lettering: MOUNT VIEW/ J H STEVENTON/ 1964; windows
with C20 small-paned cross-casements. 2 gabled roof dormers
with 2-light small-paned casements with iron opening
casements.
