House. Probably late C17 or early C18, enlarged in late C18;
altered. Whitewashed brick, thatched and slate roofs on 2
levels. Single-depth 2-unit main range of one storey, with a
projecting one-and-a-half depth one-bay addition of 2 storeys
to the left.
EXTERIOR: the main range has a small doorway at the left end,
with a wooden frame and board door, two 3-light sliding sash
windows, and a small chimney at the left gable. The addition
has a square-headed 3-light sliding sash window at ground
floor, a segmental-headed 2-light sliding sash above (with 4
panes per leaf), and a small gable chimney to the left.
INTERIOR: main range has simple purlin roof.
Forms group with No.2 Mill Lane to the rear (qv).
