Description

CAMBORNE MENADARVA
SW 64 SW
4/61 Farm building approx.20 metres
west of Menadarva Farmhouse
GV II

Farm building, perhaps formerly with some domestic use. C17, altered.
Uncoursed killas rubble with granite quoins and dressings, slate roof. Long
single-depth rectangular range on north-south axis. Two storeys; the
principal feature of interest is the south end wall, which has a simple
moulded band, immediately below this a 4-light mullioned window with
chamfered sill and slender chamfered flush mullions (all lights blocked at
time of survey, 1988), and at 1st floor a 3-light mullioned window with
similar mullions and chamfered sill and head. The east (front) wall has
various doorways and windows, including 2 with chamfered lintels, and its
north end is covered by a modern extension; the rear is covered by a large
lean-to shed. Hipped roof. Interior not inspected.
