Cottage, 1617 (on rail by entrance) with later alterations and
additions. Brick nogged timber frame with slate roof. Single storey
and attic, 4 window bays. Small framing all faces with angle braces.
Replaced ledged and boarded door with false strap hinges hung on HL
hinges. Replaced flush casements with glazing bars, the single first
floor window in central half dormer. Modern C20 wing at rear (south).
Interior: Bevelled beams and exposed joists, ledged and battened
doors, one on HL hinges, at first floor level. Cottage staircase and
some original wide oak boards.
