Icehouse to north of fishponds, 500 metres NNW of Cowclose Farmhouse

Icehouse. Probably early C19 built for the Thornhill family of Stanton Hall. Coursed squared gritstone. Large grassed-over mound with stone facade to south with semi-circular headed door. Short barrel vaulted tunnel leading to domed chamber, now blocked off.
