Farmhouse. C17 and C18. Rendered, some rubble, concrete tile or asbestos cement
slate roof. A T-plan, with cross passage off-centre left; large external stack,
to left gable and sandstone stack to right gable and a ridge stack to back wing.
2½ storeys, 3-windowed; 3 half-gables with 2-light plain chamfer stone mullion
casements under stopped drips, over 3-light the same, and at ground floor, wood
mullioned casements with transom in two bays, and a 3-light glazing bar sash, right.
Between bays 1 and 2 a gabled porch with side lights in stopped drips, and 3-panel
moulded door. Back includes one 2-light and one 3-light casements in stone with
drips, all badly worn, and a stone panel inscribed 'ITE 1767'. Back has a lean-to
roof infill. Left gable has glazing bar sash at ground floor; here also a mounting
block by the stack, in one piece of sandstone. Interior contains plain chamfered
beams, several good panelled C19 doors, and spiral stair in cylindrical well near
centre stack. Under the kitchen a basement with low segmental stone vault. Roof
not inspected.
