GV II

Shop. Mid C16, altered C20. Rendered and colourwashed
timber-frame. Slate and concrete tile roofs. 2 storeys;
2-window front. C20 plate-glass shopfront with central
doorway. First floor with two C20 2-light casements. Gabled
roof. Stack removed. Cross wing to rear with rebuilt external
gable-end stack to west. INTERIOR. Ground floor with multiple
roll-moulded bridging beams of mid C16 origins. Single rolls
to joists. First floor shows heavy principal studs of frame
and chamfered tie beams. One roll-moulded door surround
remains. Roof of ties, cranked collars and clasped purlins:
mostly boarded and plastered.
