1861 by G E Street. Large stone rubble church. Comprising: nave with clerestory
lancets alternating with 2-light plate traceried windows, and west window with
3 lancets with trefoiled arches above set under a relieving arch. North and south
aisles with lancets: Chancel east window has 5 lancets and plate tracery. North
vestry. Unfinished south-west tower over a porch with later top stage with
pyramidal roof.
Interior: walls of red, grey and buff-coloured stone and red brick dressings. North
and south arcades of 4 bays have octagonal circular and quatrefoil piers.
Collar-beam nave roof with arched braces. Chancel roof has brick pointed barrel-
vault with stone chamfered ribs closely set.
