Originally workshops, then offices; converted to residential use 1982. Early
to mid-C19. Dated 'SG 1823' on wall of flint wing to east (datestone moved from
elsewhere in the building). Industrial Victorian style with classical embellish-
ments. Brick ground floor, timber-framed first floor, ashlar-lined stucco finish.
2-storeys, with single-storey flint and brick wing to east, now reduced in
length. North part: 4 window range, sashes to first floor, top-hung casements
to ground floor. Wooden fascia at first floor level. At north end is a ground
floor bay window and first floor oriel. 2 window range to north gable, the bays
divided by pilasters. Modern 3-panel double doors. Slated roof crowned by
timber-framed louvred clock tower. South part: 4 bays, divided by pilasters.
2 window range, sashes; 2 blocked bays to south end; modern doors as north gable.
Pantiled roof. All window with small panes and cast iron lintols.
