Attached house. c1780. Limestone ashlar and render, party wall
stacks and a slate mansard roof. Double-depth plan. Mid
Georgian style.
3 storeys, attic and basement; 2-window range. Pilaster
strips, rusticated ground floor, moulded cornice and parapet;
a right-hand semicircular-arched doorway has raised jambs,
bracketed open pediment, batswing fanlight and 6-panel door,
the upper 4 raised with cut-out corners. Incised voussoirs to
paired 4/4-pane horned ground-floor sashes, 5 stepped
voussoirs above, narrower to the right, to 6/6-pane sashes,
with on the second floor 4/8-pane left-hand sash and 3/6-panes
to the right, in exposed frames; single dormer. First-floor
balcony has cast-iron brackets and wrought-iron railings with
pointed arches and quatrefoils. Rear full-height canted bay.
INTERIOR not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached wrought-iron spear-headed front
area gates and railings with urn finials and capped corner
piers.
