TL 86 SW HORRINGER SHARPS LANE

Farmhouse, C15, with C16 and C19 alterations. 3-cell, cross-passage entrance
plan. 2 storeys and attics. 4 windows. Timber-framed, rendered with
scratched oblong ashlar panels. Slated C19 gambrel roof with dentil eaves;
axial and gable chimneys of gault brick; flat-headed dormers with sash windows.
Small pane sash windows. French doors, 2-storey splayed bay and verandah with
swept hipped zinc roof on iron columns, all added mid C19. 6-panelled entrance
door, c.1800. Probably a 3-cell open hall house; the hall floored over and
chimney inserted backing onto cross-passage, C16. Parlour chimney and rear
wing added C16 or C17. C19 alterations include complete replacement of roof.
