St Margaret's and attached forecourt
railings

GV II

House. Mid C19. Ham Hill stone rubble squared to facade,
stepped copings to slate roof and stacks with moulded
cornices. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys, symmetrical 3-window
range except for a round-arched door with a semi-circular
overlight to the far right. Shallow segmental arches to all
other openings. A 6-panel door under a swept, hipped lead
porch, trellissed to the sides, is under a late C19 horned
2/2-pane sash. All other windows are paired 1/1-pane sashes,
possibly former tripartite windows. INTERIOR not inspected,
but noted as having raised and fielded panels to the
ground-floor shutters. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: a Ham Hill stone
plinth enclosing the forecourt, supports spearhead railings
with urn finials.
