- The Old Vicarage

GV II

Former Vicarage. 1837 by H J Underwood. Altered 1924 by Waller of Gloucester.
Coursed rubble, Welsh slate roofs, ashlar chimneys with moulded capping, set
irregularly. Asymmetrical plan in a Tudor-Gothic style. 2 storeys; 1 : 3
windows to south, the left hand range is a gabled projection; 2 light mullion
windows with glazing bars, stilted drips to ground floor wing 4-light over
porch. Projecting gabled porch in centre of main part with Tudor arched entrance
and inner half-glazed door. Interior has contemporary skirtings and in west
wing, an imported late C18 marble fireplace of good quality.
