Mid C19 almshouse group in picturesque style with Gothic touches. 2 storeys, 9
windows in all. Stoc+ brick with stone cornice and stone-coped parapet. Stone
ouoins on 1st floor above which are octagonal, stone-dressed chimney turrets.
Centre bay projects slightly under shaped, stone-coped gable and has quoins and
kneelers. 1st floor centre canted oriel with battlemented parapet and fancy glazing.
Plaque above with illegible inscription. One-bar casements, single or paired,
in alternatin block chamfered stone surrounds. In 2nd and 8th bay double doors
of 2 long panels under square hoodmoulds and similar central door has 4-centred
head.

Nos 1 to 6 (consec) and Monger House and East Wall form a group.
