A C16 timber-framed and plastered house comprising 3 adjoining blocks, one 2
storey, one 1 storey and attics and one 1 storey. The 2 storey block has a jettied
upper storey with exposed timber-framing, on exposed joists and brackets. The
east side is partly plastered in panels. The windows are C20 casements with
glazing bars. Roof thatched, the main block has a red brick chimney slack with
3 square shafts and the centre block has 1 dormer window.

Brook Cottage, Willowbrook Cottage, The Dip of the Hill, Springside and
East Side and West Side form a group.
