House, formerly farmhouse. Late C16. 2 storeys and attics. 3-cell cross-
passage entrance plan. Timber-framed and plastered. Plaintiled roof with
axial chimney of red brick. Mainly C20 small-pane casements. C20 gabled
plaintiled entrance porch with 6-panelled door. Back-to-back open fireplaces
to hall and parlour, with another in the parlour chamber. Some unglazed
diamond-mullioned windows, fragmentary and blocked, at 1st floor; another with
ovolo mullions. Arch-braced close studwork and unmoulded exposed 1st floor.
Wind-braced clasped purlin roof with reduced principals. The attic was
inserted over the hall and service end in C17 with staircase.
