House, forming part of terraced row; with attached verandah.
c1826-30; altered. Painted stucco, slate roof with stuccoed
chimney to right (coupled with No.13). Double-depth
single-fronted plan with back extension.
2 storeys and 2 windows; moulded gutter cornice. Simple 2-bay
verandah with lead-clad roof. The ground floor has a
square-headed doorway to the left with moulded architrave and
half-glazed door, and a large canted bay window altered as
French windows; the 1st floor has a pair of canted flat-roofed
oriels with C20 glazing and moulded cornices.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Adjoins No.13 to the right (qv) and No.15 to the left (qv).
All the listed buildings in Marine Crescent, together with
those in Adelaide Terrace, Bath Street, Beach Lawn and Marine
Terrace, form a group in the Waterloo Conservation Area of
Crosby.
