Originally 2 houses. The front dates largely from the C19 (red brick and
curved tiles), but the house itself is older, the eastern half of 2 storeys
and attic is possibly C15. It contains ceiling beams and a good fireplace.
The west half is an extension of 3 storeys.

Nos 6 to 16 (consec), The Studio Chambers, and The Old Hope Anchor Private
Hotel form a group.
