Mill building. Mid C19, later alterations.Coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings;
slate roof. L - shaped block. 3 storeys, part with basement. Roadside (west)
front : 3 : 7 bays, left-hand block gable-end on.Plinth band.Windows are 16-pane
sashes with glazing bars, replaced by C20 windows on ground floor, with stone lintels,
stone cills and cill bands to 1st and 2nd floors. Each block has central doorway
with steps up to 4 - panel double door with overlight in architrave with pilasters,
frieze, cornice and blocking course; right-hand doorway has semi-circular steps(
left-hand doorway has glazing bars to overlight and window to its left converted to
doorway. Narrow gap between the 2 blocks bridged by entrance with steps up to
4-panel double-door with fanlight and keyed segmental arch: cornice below
segmental-arched corniced ashlar panel with raised lettering. Paired gutter brackets.
2 corniced stacks at eaves of right-hand block. Hipped roofs.Right return
(south front) : 16-pane sashes to upper floors. North front : basement storey on
left due to sloping ground has segmental-arched cart-entry with double board doors;
many windows retain small-pane glazing, and same to southern elevation of this block.
