Description

SK 45 SE SELSTON WANSLEY HILL
(north side)
5/72 Manor Farmhouse
17/5/88 II
Farmhouse. Late C18. Brick with plain tile roofs. 3 ridge and single gable
stacks. 2 storeys plus garrets, 3 bays. T-plan. Windows are C20 casements.
West front has central door with overlight, flanked by single casements. Above,
3 casements. Each gable has a garret casement with segmental head. 2 storey rear
wing has to south door and casements, both with segmental heads. On the east side
there are more casements with segmental heads. On the west side there is another
door. This door and window is enclosed by a fairly modern glazed timber porch/
conservatory. These windows generally appear to be original-timber casements
divided into small rectangular panes by glazing bars. The rear storey wing is
a later addition possibly early C19.
