SAPISTON
HEATH ROAD (WEST SIDE)
Cottage 500 metres north of Grove House

II

A pair of cottages, now in one occupation. Late C18/early C19: older core.
1½ storeys. Timber-framed and plastered, with traces of simple pargetting
on the south gable end. Clay pantiles, internal chimney-stack. Small-paned
casement windows. 2 plank doors. The stack divides the building into 2
slightly irregular halves: the northern half appears older, with the ends of
lower wall-plates protruding from the gable: the structure has been raised and
extended to make into a cottage pair.
