ST 40 SW BURSTOCK HURSEY

4/82 Coronation House

GV II

Detached House, built as two identical units. c.1700. Erroneous
inscription: "Built 1307, rebuilt 1937." Dressed stone walls.
Patent pantile (left) and Roman tile (right) roof, with stone gable-
copings. 3 brick stacks at left hand gable, centre and right hand
gable. 2 storeys with attics. 8 windows to ground floor of 2-lights
each. 6 windows to-first floor: 3, 2, 3, 3, 2, 3, (nos of lights).
Square section stone mullions with bead edges, continuous moulded stone
architraves. Two continuous labels raised up iver the doors. Doorways,
at centre of each house, with continuous moulded architraves. Left
hand door, blocked. Right hand door, plank and muntin, studded, C20.
Interior: mid-chamfered ceiling beams with crude filleted stops,
otherwise substantially modernised.
