House, now restaurant and flats. Late C18, with mid C19 and
C20 alteration. Red brick in Flemish bond, with painted stone
quoins and dressings; timber eaves cornice; pantile roof at
front, slate at rear; coped gables, shaped kneelers, and brick
end stacks. 4-storey 3-window front, with raised and chamfered
quoins. Double shop front on ground floor, with house doorway
at left end. House door of 4 sunk panels with radial-glazed
fanlight, recessed in plain pilaster and cornice doorcase.
Shop front has glazed double doors set back between 4-light
canted bay windows with slender glazing bars, over
sunk-panelled risers. First-floor windows are 12-pane sashes,
those on second floor unequal 9-pane sashes, on third floor
C20 top-hung 9-pane lights. All windows have painted wedge
lintels, and those on first- and second-floors have painted
stone sills. Raised bands at first-, second- and third-floor
levels.
