Houses. Early C19. Brick; stone plinth; stucco architraves,
lintels and quoins; hipped slate roof; 4 brick ridge stacks.
8-unit plan.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys; 8-window range: 2/2 sashes with 1/1
sashes either side, in painted reveals with stone sills and
vermiculated keyed stucco lintels; 3/3 sashes (No.1, altered)
under keyed stucco lintels. 4-panel doors with plain
overlights in stuccoed architraves (one door at each end;
others in pairs); 6/6 sashes (No.1, altered) under continuous
verandah with cast-iron decoration; painted brick band over.
Rear has 6/6 sashes with 3/3 and coloured margin-glazed sashes
over.
2-storey "outshut" wings to rear with coloured margin-glazed
sashes.
INTERIOR: Nos. 2, 3, 5 and 8 retain dogleg staircases with
stick balusters and turned newels; Nos. 1, 4, 6 and 7, not
inspected.
No.2: dogleg staircase with stick balusters and turned newels.
4-panel doors. 2nd floor: 2 cast-iron fireplaces; 1st floor:
late C19 tiled fireplace with wood surround; C19 fireplace;
Ground floor: Cellar: winder stair; stone-lined; box store.
No.3: staircase similar to that in No.2. 4-panel doors. 2nd
floor: two C19 cast-iron fireplaces; wall cupboards. 1st
floor: tiled fireplace with wood surround. Ground floor:
partly stone-lined; tiled fireplace. Cellar: stone-lined;
winder stair.
No.5: staircase similar to that in No.2. 4-panel doors. 2nd
floor: cast-iron fireplace to rear room. 1st floor: cast-iron
grate with wood surround; Ground floor: reset fireplace.
Cellar: stone-lined.
No.8: staircase similar to that in No.2. 4-panel doors. Ground
floor: cast-iron firegrate with pine surround. Cellar:
stone-lined; original winder stair.
