Well-head north of Ridgegrove Mills

Well-head. Probably C18 or early C19; inscription --80,
probably 1880 when fitted with pump by J.H.Best. Slatestone
rubble with slate slab roof covered in soil. Small rectangular
plan built into hedgerow bank at the side of the road. Ledged
door locked at time of survey so interior visible with
difficulty: complete iron pump with curved handle and lead
spout.
