GV II

Barn, now a store. Late C17, altered in C19. Timber-framed weatherboarded
and corrugated iron roof covering reed thatch of herringbone pattern. Two
bays with cartway opening in side wall. Inside: The late C17 framing is
visible in the rear side and right hand end walls. It has typical studwork
with downward wall bracing. Other parts of the framing have been renewed and
the roof was rebuilt in C19. A date of 1640 is believed to have been carved
on one of the timbers. Adjoining at each end are ranges of dairies, milking
parlours, and loose boxes. C19. Gault brick, pantiled roof. Some doorways
with split doors.
