House, formerly 2 cottages. 1 cottage probably early-mid C18 another added in C19;
the 2 united, modernized and extended circa 1952. Plastered cob on rubble footings;
rubble or cob stacks topped with C19 brick; thatched roof. Pair of adjoining 1-room
plan cottages with roofs at right angles to each other facing east. Front gable
stack to former left (southern) cottage and disused front lateral stack to right hand
cottage. 2 storeys. 1-window front to left cottage, the lower blocking former
door. The rest of front behind circa 1952 extension. 1-window front to south with
thatched gablet over first floor window. Roof half-hipped to left (rear). 2-windows
to rear, 1 to each ground floor room and roof hipped to left. All windows are C20 2-
light casements, most with glazing bars. Interior has plain carpentry detail
including chamfered crossbeam with runout stops to left (south) cottage. Roof not
inspected. Pantile-roofed single storey extension of circa 1952 on front not
included.
