garden wall

House. Probably mid to later C19. Snecked killas with granite quoins and
dressings, slate roof with red ridge tiles, brick chimneys. Double-depth plan with
roof carried down to lower level over rear. Two storeys and 4 bays; doorway in
2nd bay with door of 6 fielded panels and overlight lettered "TREGONY HOUSE";
12-pane sashed windows on both floors. Hipped roof with projecting eaves, side-
wall chimneys. Rear: ground floor has openings with segmental brick heads, 12-
and 16-pane sashes. Small front garden enclosed by low rendered wall
continuously curved from the left corner of the house to the right-hand side,
with hollow moulded coping and rock-faced round-headed gatepiers in the centre.
Forms group with Bridge Inn to the right (q.v.).
