Gate lodge to former Pendarves House. Probably mid to later C19. Snecked
granite with quoins, some brick dressings, slate roof, brick chimneys.
Rectangular double-depth plan. Faces drive from its north side. Two
storeys and 3 bays, symmetrical; plinth; central gabled porch with 4-
centred arched outer doorway; 2 windows at ground floor and 3 above, all
wooden cross-window casements with raised sills and large rectangular
lintels, and blind gabled dormers above those at 1st floor, each with a
decorated brick surround including a saw-toothed band. Corniced gable
chimneys. History: built to control entrance to west drive of the domestic
estate of the family Pendarves of Pendarves.
