Gate piers and gates: early-mid C19 for Sir J T Stanley. Ashlar buff
sandstone. Brick garden wall ends in chamfered rusticated stone piers
with projecting capstones. Between are 2 similar free standing piers
with spread eagles on the capstones. The 2 side gates and the central
gate are similar and have a delicate interlacing with quatrefoils at
the junctions. The lock rail and toprail have a lozenge-shaped
pattern and there is scrollwork along the top.
