Forge, now workshop. Early - mid C19 with few later alterations. Slatestone rubble.
Bitumenised slate roof with gable ends. Axial stack with brick shaft.
Plan: 2-room plan main range, with the forge to left, heated from the axial stack,
and a room to right with front cart entrance. Attached to front left is the shoeing
room, with opposing doors, one on each side, and rear door into the forge.
Exterior: Single storey; the main range has double doors for a cart entry to right,
and a 2-light window at the right gable end. The front shoeing room has plank door
on the inner side and half-glazed door on the outer side; 2-light 12-pane window at
the front gable end. Tie-ring on the inner side. The left end of the main range has
2-light 8-pane window. The forge is built into the bank at the rear with a 12-pane
light to right.
