Former Chapel to

Small, gazebo-like C18 building of 2 storeys, one bay. Small brick, now rough
rendered. External steps with wrought iron handrail lead to round arched
entrance. Pyramidal pantiled roof with chimney in south-east corner. In each
face a round arched sash window with glazing bars and radial head. On ground
floor a plain door and boarded opening. This building, which was in use as
a chapel of ease until recently, stands at the edge of a deserted village of
mediaeval origin and may originally have had more of a congregation than the
present population would show.
