House, ground floor converted to shop, upper floors to flats. C18. Red brick,
laid in header bond, many bricks originally vitrified (much of which lost
through sand blasting). Dressings in lighter red brick. Hipped slate roof. 3
storeys. 6 window facade. First and 2nd floors have segmental-headed flush
sashes with glazing bars. First and 3rd windows of both floors are blind,
painted to simulate sashes, the first bay ones narrower than others. Gauged
brick heads to all windows. Ground floor has narrow semi-circular headed
doorway to LH containing 4 panel door and plain semi-circular headed fanlight
3rd, 4th and 5th bays taken up by (20 replica of the original C19 canted double
shop front. This is flanked by segmental headed blind windows to 2nd and 6th
bays. Deep timber eaves cornice.
