19-FEB-03 Gates Monument at St Mary's Church

GV II

Tomb of Isabella Gates (d. 1782). Yellow stock brick with inset marble inscription panels to sides and ends, Portland stone ledger and base. Formerly surrounded with cast iron railings (probably removed during WW2). The inscription panels have recessed borders. The chest has undergone recent repair.
